Facial Treatments Ellie's Beauty

Ellie

Tell us a little bit about your journey so far as a beauty therapist?

Ellie started her journey in 2009 when she enrolled in Sports Science at college as she had desires of becoming a Personal Trainer, but changed her mind at the last minute and was offered a place on, either Hairdressing or Beauty. You may have guessed it, Ellie chose Beauty. Although a spontaneous choice, this career has been a perfect fit. After her first year in college, Ellie was offered a job by her Tutor at her Salon in Blackwater. She worked there for three and half years until she decided it was a time to set up on her own with her mobile business – Ellie’s Beauty. This allowed Ellie to hone her skills and create a customer base. After four years of travelling from client to client, Ellie made a shift in her business and found a unit in Warfield Park, the first location for Ellie’s Beauty. This proved to be successful, and the business grew introducing Steph. Ellie had bigger aspirations so in 2021 when a larger unit became available only two doors down, she jumped at the chance. This was a big project, not only in terms of the scale of the renovation, but a full rebrand in line with her future vision for Ellie’s Beauty. Quite a journey for someone under 30.

What is your favourite thing about your job?

Ellie said, “I really enjoy meeting a range of different people and being able to help everyone in a different way.” Looking after yourself has tremendous impact on your mental well-being and confidence. We believe that feeling good within yourself has far reaching benefits from confidence to opportunities.

What is your favourite way to spend a day off?

Ellie said, “Getting up early, going for a lovely walk in the morning or heading to the gym, or both, in fact.” Ellie added, “I enjoy meeting up with friends, family, and spending quality time with my partner. I try to chill out, but still be productive, and switch off from work, which can be hard to do sometimes.”

What is your bucket list location and why?

Ellie is not a huge traveller and is happy at home in her own surroundings. She didn’t give a specific location more a criterion for a destination, she said, “Anywhere with good weather, a beautiful beach, and bloody good cocktails. I’m Happy!” Sounds great, when do we go?

What is your favourite tv series?

Ellie doesn’t watch much TV as she finds it hard to concentrate on. The only shows that might catch her attention are, “Trashy and easy watching, like Love Island, Selling Sunset or Selling The Orange County.”

If money were no object, what would you do?

Clearly the TV shows have been rubbing off on Ellie as she said, “I would buy houses and redo them or buy plots of land and build on them.” A property developer in the making, maybe something for the future.

What are the top three lessons you would teach your younger self?

Ellie couldn’t limit it to three, so we shared four.

1. Always stay in your own lane
2. You must start at the bottom to get to the top
3. It’s ok not to know where you are going especially when you are younger
4. Be kind and nice. Always treat people how you want to be treated.
